More Th>n has seen a 25% increase in sales of its legal expenses product which it puts down to the launch of a new range of services.

The direct financial services arm of Royal & SunAlliance is selling its family legal services package to more than half of its customers.

The package replaced an older product when it was launched earlier this year. It gives access to online legal documents and law guide, an advice helpline and legal expenses cover of up to £50,000.

More Th>n 's home insurance manager Steve Kingshott put much of the sales boost down to the online document service, provided by the Epoq Group.

Epoq's desktop lawyer won the CBI best product award in 2000.

Kingshott said: "We think that angle is helping us improve the penetration of the overall sale. We've seen a 25%increase in sales this year over last year."

The service offers more than 200 legal interactive documents covering everything from making a will to getting an undefended divorce.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
