The Financial Services Compensation Scheme costs less than its predecessors, according to the organisation's first annual report.
Published today, the report claimed that at the end of the first year management costs were 23% less expensive that if separate compensation schemes had continued. The FSCS took over from the Policyholders' Protection Board on 1 December 2001.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
