The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) is collaborating with Royal & Sunalliance in the development of a new management tool for businesses.

The new system, Essentials of Health and Safety Routemap, has been launched as part of the government's initiative to reduce accidents and ill health at work by 30% over the next ten years.

Timothy Walker, director general of the HSE, said: “Health and safety failures in Britain cost £18bn a year and the cost of work-related accidents and ill health to employers is £140 to £300 for each worker employed.”


The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
