Banwell appointment subject to regulator approval

Jason Banwell has been appointed as interim managing director of Kwik Fit Financial Services (KFFS), a subsidiary of Ageas.

Banwell, who has been managing director of Ageas Insurance Solutions since 2011 and has worked in the sector for 25 years, replaces June Lynch who is leaving the post to take up other challenges outside the brokerage.

Banwell will work closely with the Kwik Fit management team to develop the business, drawing on his expertise in managing insurer and partner relationships. The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

Ageas Retail and Distribution chief executive officer Mark Cliff, said:  “June has made a significant contribution to the Kwik Fit business which we are grateful for and we wish her well for the future. 

“Jason has extensive insurance experience and we welcome him into the role.  Kwik Fit remains an important business for Ageas and we are committed to developing it further.” 

Lynch, who has spent 16 years in the business, has been managing director of KFFS since 2011. The company was bought by Ageas in 2010.
