Equity buys in East Anglia
Equity Insurance Group has expanded its presence in East Anglia through the acquisition of Mildenhall broker Kents Insurance Brokers. Kents, which trades both personal lines and commercial insurance, was founded 60 years ago and has grown steadily via local acquisition. Equity's parent company, Australian giant IAG, was set to brief the market on the plans for the future of its UK assets, including Equity, as Insurance Times went to press.
Homelet in lettings deal
Homelet, the UK’s largest specialist insurance provider for the lettings industry, has signed an exclusive three-year deal with Martin & Co, the UK’s largest residential lettings agent. The move means that Martin & Co. becomes HomeLet’s largest client. Homelet is part of Bardon Insurance Group, formerly Erinaceous Insurance Services.
