Insurance Times Awards 2010 sold out

Insurance Times is ringing the changes for its awards evening, with a move to the Battersea Evolution venue in London and a change from a Friday to a Wednesday – and the event is already sold out. Publishing director Shân Millie said: “We’re delighted that the industry has given our revamped awards such a massive vote of confidence. For our awards finalists, sponsors and the team that has been working all year to make 1 December a great evening, the news that the event is a sell-out makes all the hard work worthwhile.”

DE Ford is top performer

A Brokerbility survey has revealed DE Ford as its top-performing member and AXA as the broking group’s top-performing insurer partner. DE Ford received an 86.45% overall satisfaction score, while AXA received 72%. DE Ford was voted top performer by 410 staff across Brokerbility’s four key insurer partners, while AXA was voted top performer by more than 600 staff across all Brokerbility members. Chairman of Brokerbility Ashwin Mistry said: “Our annual performance audit of insurers is a key foundation of the true partnership which exists between both parties.”

Tesco transfer begins

Tesco Underwriting is processing new business and renewals. The transfer of business from Tesco’s previous partner, RBSI’s UKI Partnerships, began on schedule in mid-October and is expected to continue over the next year. Tesco Underwriting was created following a five-year deal last year between Tesco Personal Finance and Ageas to provide motor and household insurance. It will handle about £500m of premiums.
