NIG creates new role
Broker-only insurer NIG has appointed its former finance director, Michael Rea, to the new role of director of NIG. The appointment follows the restructure of RBS Insurance which saw Charles Crawford, managing director of NIG moved to become managing director of partnerships and brokers.
Novae liability move
Novae is to write new international liability business after hiring two underwriters from rivals. Mark Davies will join from Limit where he is a class underwriter for international liability, while Rupert Taylor joins from Ace Europe where he currently writes a US-focused liability book.
Open GI Imarket launch
