Why did you put yourselves forward for the category?

Jo Lloyd, customer and propositions director at Axa

The past 12 months have been pivotal for our business. Alongside delivering for customers and brokers and onboarding new partners, we’ve used our voice to make a positive difference.

We’ve spearheaded support for survivors of domestic abuse, working with Women’s Aid and Smart Works to amplify important conversations. Through our BackSeat Boss safer driving initiative with the Child Accident Prevention Trust, we’ve also reached more than 75,000 children teaching about accident prevention. We’re incredibly proud of what our people and partners have achieved and felt this was the right time to recognise and celebrate that impact.

What makes your entry stand out and why should you win?

We’ve been bold, tackling difficult societal issues and turning conversations into action. From championing domestic abuse support in parliament and at the Labour Party Conference, to supporting the ABI in developing best-practice guidance, we’re striving to influence positive change.

BackSeat Boss empowers children to speak up about safer driving, helping prevent accidents, while our Fearless Female community has grown beyond our business to over 500 women across the insurance industry, creating a supportive, engaging network. We believe our entry stands out because we combine purpose with performance, making a positive impact while continuing to deliver for customers, brokers and partners.

What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?

Winning would be an incredibly proud moment and recognition of the time, energy and passion our colleagues and partners have invested over the past year. Just as importantly, it would provide another platform to shine a light on the vital work of Women’s Aid, Smart Works and the Child Accident Prevention Trust.

We’d see the award not simply as recognition of what we’ve achieved, but as encouragement to go further, continuing to use our voice and influence to raise awareness, drive positive change and make a meaningful difference to people’s lives. We’ve got a lot more we want to do.
