Swindle was instrumental in creating NIG’s eTrade platform, TheHub

NIG has promoted Jaime Swindle to the position of director of eTrade.

Swindle was previously the head of broker eTrade and has more than 10 years’ experience in the industry.

In her new role she will be responsible for NIG’s eTrading platform, TheHub, which was launched in January.

She replaces Ben Thornton, whose departure was announced back in July.

NIG managing director Jon Greenwood said: “Jaime has played a key role in developing and driving forward NIG’s eTrade strategy and was instrumental in creating TheHub, our new eProducts and the wider eTrade proposition.

“Her experience and knowledge will only help to positively shape our future eTrade developments.”

TheHub enables brokers to quote and buy policies online.

As part of NIG’s strategy, the eTrade team plans to roll out new eProducts and develop TheHub eXtra, its premium service for high-performing eTrade brokers.

Swindle said: “I’m looking forward to the challenge that this new role offers at an exciting time in the development of NIG’s eTrade strategy.

“Following the launch of TheHub and our four new eProducts this year, I’m eager to continue meeting the current and future needs of our broker partners.”
