Retail Automotive Alliance sticks with NIG over Allianz

The Retail Automotive Alliance (RAA) has renewed its £2m insurance contract with NIG, through broker Willis, Motor Trader reports.

The two-year deal covers motor trade and self drive hire insurance for the RAA's 22 franchised dealer groups.

Then there were two

NIG beat off Allianz after 13 initial insurers were cut to two. Each made a presentation to the RAA shareholder members. NIG and Willis first won the tender in 2007.

"We have enjoyed a good working relationship with Willis and NIG over the past two years, but following the review of many of the other insurance competitors, it was clear that a continued relationship with them was still the best choice," said Marc Matthew the RAA chairman.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
