Changes to Groupama's distribution strategy will not see it cut its intermediary network, according to new distribution and customer services director Amanda Blanc.

Blanc, who joined Groupama from AXA on 10 December, will head up the new strategy, which will be announced in February.

She said that while the volumes of business Groupama does with some of its partners could change, wholesale cuts to its 300-400 strong agency base were not on the agenda.

Blanc will also be responsible for the company's focus on the SME sector.
