Independent Insurance has launched a new web-based partnership with Ryan Insurance Brokers, called businessrisk.com, for small premium commercial risks such as hotels, shops and small manufacturing companies.
Andy Hawkes, Independent's head of ebusiness, said the initiative “allows us to reduce administration costs dramatically and pass on the benefit to brokers.”
He added that the partnership with Ryan, based in Ipswich, Suffolk is the first of many to be announced in coming months.
Ryan commercial manager Tim Ryan said: “We can provide a personal service to clients, supported by Independent's risk management and risk control skills.”
Independent says the new initiative provides a seamless integration of all back office systems and takes advantage of the “talking claims” facility.
