?Lloyd’s insurer Novae has seen the second senior member of staff walk out within a month.

Marketing director Leo Gibbons left the company this week, less than a month after underwriting director Stuart Quinlan departed last month.

Gibbons said he left amicably but pointed to disagreement with other directors.

“You have to agree on the management direction and if you don’t agree then you have to decide the best thing to do. It was amicable and professional.”

Gibbons said he was considering a number of jobs options and would be back in the market within a few weeks.

“There was a slight change of direction within the company and there were lots of opportunities within the market so it seemed a good time to leave.”

He insisted that he had jumped and not been pushed. “It was at my instigation,” he said

Novae was unavailable to comment as Insurance Time’s went to press.
