Hostilities broke out at Norwich Union's annual jolly to the Alpine slopes for the Army skiing championships this year.
Two prominent figures in the UK's broking community skirmished on the slopes, when, it seems, one made comments about a character from The Simpsons running a broker. The other took great offence, believing that he was being identified. The result: plenty of glowering on the piste and a few choice words exchanged aprés ski.
Many people in this industry fall out, but forget their differences after a few beers. But this one, I am assured, looks set to run and run.
