Chris Ladkin to run newly formed PI team

Chris Ladkin is to join OIM Underwriting, a wholly owned subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher (UK), this month.

He will head OIM’s new Finpro team, to be formed in combination with the circadian team which joined OIM following the AJG acquisition of the assets of FirstCity.

Ladkin was formerly co-founder of Hargreaves Lansdown Insurance Brokers, specialising in professional indemnity insurance.

He then set up SBJ Professional in 1992 and became regional managing director of Bluefin, following their acquisition of SBJ in 2008. He left Bluefin amicably last year.

Sian Fisher, managing director of OIM said: “Chris’s enterprising approach to scheme and affinity business in the professional indemnity market will be an invaluable asset as he leads our new Finpro team.”

Ladkin said: “I am excited to be joining OIM in a leadership role at a time when the company is poised for and committed to significant growth and opportunity for the future.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
