Agricultural specialist Farmweb, part of Norwich Union, posts 22% growth this year.
Farmweb chief executive, Elaine Pyke, says the increase has surpassed all expectations, particularly in an environment where incomes are being severely eroded, and the number of farms diminishing.
"Our commitment to providing farmers with competitive premiums and a high level of local service is undoubtedly a key factor in the company's success," she says.
"Our aim is to continue the development and delivery of a product range tailored specifically for farmers. We will continue to focus on risk management as this will enable us to sustain our competitive position without the need for the application of unsustainable discounts," says Pyke.
