Our mystery market blogger on who's migrating south for the winter and who’s sticking around to ruffle some feathers?

It is nice to see Ian Foy back in the UK at IAG UK. He claims credit for sorting out what was the ‘GA Bonus’ when he worked for CGU and while I cannot remember there being any sorting out to do, let’s overlook that, and instead give Ian, with his schoolboy looks still intact, full credit for putting himself about in the market. Only one point for spotting the Foy bird.

Many more points available, let’s say 10, for spotting the lesser-tartaned David MacMillan of Aviva, who was recently on stage in a RADA production at the Savoy as guest of thespian Nick Cooper of Sterling fame. Sid would very much welcome pictures if any are available.

Perhaps 20 points and a straight face for spotting the shiny-crowned Paul Geddes of RBSI following their spectacular last quarter (burning only £33m of largely taxpayers money). Enjoy all the Direct Line advertising, you are helping to pay for it.

But maybe the rarest sighting of all these days is the African white-tailed Bronek Masojada (50 points). Has he migrated to Bermuda?

Or maybe they are all at the ABI hibernating? But how would you tell who was awake and who was asleep over there?

Meantime, the Maso bird has been seen feeding in London and it seems he may winter here.

The Meehan peacock is also definitely preening his feathers for a significant return, so expect a lot of noise fairly soon.

If you spot any of these rarer species, please let Sid know, as always, on the QT.
