First eBroker for Open Trader contract goes to RG Ford

Open GI has signed up its first broker to its new quote and buy solution for SME business.

Essex broker RG Ford will begin using eBroker for Open Trader which claims to capitalise on growth in the SME market by enabling brokers to sell commercial business to clients via the web using the power of the Open Trader platform.

The solution will provide RG Ford with a completely new trading website for lines such as property owners and tradesman.

Giles Ford, managing director said: “Commercial SME will be the next battle ground for direct insurers and large national broker chains. This is my core business and I am keen to fight for my share using the power of the internet."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
