Oval's acquisition of Williamson Moore gives the group a foothold in the south east

Oval has acquired South East based Williamson Moore, marking the group's first move into the area and its sixth acquisition in six months.

Williamson Moore is a property specialist with £25 million annual income. The purchase supports Oval’s strategy for further expansion in the UK and will add to its growing property expertise and client base.

Charles Knight, managing director of Williamson Moore, will continue in his role based in Chichester, West Sussex. Knight said: “We’re delighted to be joining Oval. We can continue to do what we do well and give our staff long term security. Oval’s size will enable us to negotiate better deals for our customers and adapt to changes in the market.”

Knight will report to Oval’s regional managing director for the southern region, Patrick O’Connell, who is based in London at the Middlesex Street office.

O'Connell added, “Williamson Moore is a well respected broker, particularly in the property market, which will add to the growing expertise Oval has in this area. This is our first acquisition in the South East and Home Counties and it fits in with our plans to bring together the best brokers in the UK.”

Established in 1976, Williamson Moore now employs 50 staff.
