Paris Re’s risk boss gets top group role in newly merged firm

Partner Re has named Jérôme Carré, currently chief risk officer for Paris Re, as its group risk management director.

Carré will report to the CEO Patrick Thiele and will be responsible for coordinating risk management practices at group level, including aggregation and reporting risk exposure and managing the company's risk management framework.

Carré brings with him 20 years of experience in the reinsurance industry. He has held various senior management positions, including chief actuary at AXA Re and chief risk officer of Paris Re since 2007.

He has a diploma in Statistics from the University of Paris VI (France) and is a Fellow of the French Institute of Actuaries.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
