Specialist professional indemnity underwriters PI Direct is celebrating building a client base of more than 2,000 small to medium-sized firms.
The insurer, which has just reached its second anniversary, boasts that it has never rejected a claim on any of its policies.
PI Direct uses only in-house specialist solicitors on the defence of claims.
The book of business is split about 55% direct and 45% broker introduced, with a network of 1,500 regional brokers. Brokers do not have to enter into agency agreements.
Chief executive Michael Wood said the emphasis on claims handling is producing the company's strong growth.
"To a large extent, it comes down to our claims service – we believe our service is second to none and are proud of our record of never having rejected a claim on our policies," he said.
