Protean Risk said it has been appointed as an approved Lloyd’s registered broker.

The specialist insurance broker for firms in the investment industry, financial services and technology sectors said the new status is part of its strategy to provide clients with the widest choice of products and markets.

“We are extremely proud to have achieved the high standards that allow us to become a broker at Lloyd’s and the milestone this represents in the development of Protean Risk,” said Protean chief executive Nathan Sewell.

“We are very excited about the new opportunities that our direct access to Lloyd’s will bring. As a Lloyd’s broker our clients will benefit from increased choice and access to a broader range of specialist insurance markets.”
