Shareholders in UK insurer Prudential have called chief executive Mark Tucker to a second round of meetings after hearing rival Aviva's case for a merger between the two groups, according to reports.
Prudential last week rejected an informal all-share offer from Aviva which values the group at about 17bn, on the grounds that it is too low. Aviva said it has not ruled out returning with a higher bid.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
