PricewaterhouseCoopers has appointed Ian Dilks as the new global head of its insurance group.

Dilks has been a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP since 1986 and will take up the role with immediate effect.

Based in London, he will be responsible for the leadership of PricewaterhouseCoopers assurance, advisory and tax services to the insurance industry globally.

Ian Dilks, global head of the insurance group of PricewaterhouseCoopers, said: “Insurance is an important sector for PricewaterhouseCoopers and I am delighted to be taking on this role at such an exciting time in the industry's development.

"The next few years are likely to see significant changes in the structure of the industry as it responds to commercial and regulatory pressures.

“My key focus will be to ensure PricewaterhouseCoopers continues to be at the forefront of developments to support our clients through these changes.”
