Three appointments expand QBE's trade credit team

QBE has made three new appointments in its trade credit team; Kathryn Forde, Floyd Woolley and Estelle Crockford.

Forde has joined as commercial underwriter for the North of England and Woolley as underwriting assistant.

Focusing on the North of England, Forde and Woolley will be based out of both QBE’s Manchester and Leeds offices.

Forde joins from the recruitment sector, but previously spent a number of years working for Euler Hermes.

Woolley, who has been working for QBE on the general insurance side for several months, will enhance and support the administrative and underwriting teams, QBE said.

Crockford has been appointed senior risk underwriter and will join QBE’s London-based trade credit team in March.

Crockford has over 10 years of experience in the UK credit market and has worked in various roles at Euler Hermes and Amlin Credit, where she managed the construction portfolio as senior risk underwriter.

Latterly Crockford managed risk and commercial responsibilities across a portfolio of whole turnover and excess of loss clients for Chartis.

QBE’s head of credit & surety Europe, Trevor Williams, said: “We will continue to strengthen our teams and to invest in our staff to ensure that we provide customers with disciplined and market-leading credit solutions.”
