QBE, Australia's largest insurer, today declared end of year profits of A$820m (£337m), up 43% on A$572 (£235m) last year.

Net earned premiums in 2004 increased by 12% to A$6.8bn (£2.8bn).

Total revenue was reported as A$1.9bn (£798m), up from A$488m (£201m) in 2003.

QBE's end of year combined ratio was 91.2%, a 2.6 point improvement on 2003.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
