Two new underwriters to join by end of May
QBE is expanding its underwriting team in Glasgow taking on two new underwriters Elliot Miller told the Herald.
"We should have the hiring done by the end of May," he stated.
The company handles casualty, motor, property and professional indemnity work in its Glasgow office.
"We process the business locally, our competitors send their Scottish business down to London," Miller said with unalloyed pride. He said that QBE is different from many of its competitors because it allows its regional offices a great deal of autonomy in how they make decisions.
