Bupa launches its new online system on January 29 that promises to complete insurance deals within 20 minutes.

The system has been designed specifically for intermediaries to sell Bupa Heartbeat. Intermediaries will be able to enrol customers online and provide immediate cover, including cover for pre-existing medical conditions if necessary.

The new website will produce a quotation in three easy steps, using information about the customer's personal details, medical background and choice of lifestyle packages or payment options.

If the customer pays by credit card, they can get instant cover.

Bupa says Heartbeat offers cover for more existing health problems than its other products.

Heartbeat is premium-rated on an individual rather than an average basis, and customers can choose additional lifestyle packages including cash benefit, cover for optical treatment or complementary medicine and convalescence care.
