Investment holdings firm Randall & Quilter has announced it is pursuing further acquisitions after buying two insurance firms in the first part of the year.

The specialist non-life insurance investor acquired the Hickson captive in the Isle of Man and French firm La Reassurance Intercontinentale. It also bought the reinsurance of a portfolio associated with LRI.

R&Q completed the novation of liability policies from the Guernsey captive of the Virgin Group, too.

The moves were announced ahead of the company’s annual general meeting today.
