Anthony Forbes, the deputy chairman of Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA), is to retire after eight years' service, the board announced today.
His retirement will take effect after the annual general meeting on 15 May 2002.
Group chairman Sir Patrick Gillam said Forbes' expertise would be missed and thanked him for his valuable contributions to the company.
