Halifax is to remain Royal & Sunalliance's (R&SA) sole household insurance provider for another four years.
In what is believed to be the world's largest insurance partnership, Halifax and R&SA currently provide household insurance to more than 1.6 million customers.
General manager of Halifax General Insurance, Howard Posner, said: “It is vital for us to have an insurance partner that has the scale and expertise to help us to provide the high levels of service and security Halifax customers have come to expect.
“Over the past six years, Royal & Sunalliance has proved it can deliver and we are very pleased to be continuing with them in the future.”
The bank has a 550-strong team based at Copley near Halifax, which looks after both policy and claims servicing for customers.
