Rates for personal accident cover for security personnel working in Iraq are softening despite the recent spate of insurgent bombings, according to Camberford Law.

Chairman and chief executive Richard Sheik said the softening was down to the fact that cover was widening, with more companies operating in the country and the situation settling down slightly.

But Sheik said rates still depended on which area of the country the security personnel were operating in.
