April was another wet month for England and Wales, with most places receiving 50% more rainfall than normal and the Midlands twice the average, according to figures from WeatherNet.
Some parts of southwest England have now received higher than average rainfall for each of the past ten months.
Among notable weather was the marble-sized hail which fell at Hope, near Howarden, Clwyd, on April 4.
