Alexander Forbes' motor sports risk services has gone live on the Acturis trading platform with £1.5m of high volume premium element expected to go through the system each year.

The product provides insurance and risk management services for major motor sports associations in the UK.

Paul Buckle, sales and marketing director, Alexander Forbes Motor Sports Risk Services, said: "Motor sports is complex in that you are dealing with customers at various levels - associations, clubs and individuals - some of which can be automatically traded, others need to be manually traded. Acturis provides us with the functionality and ability to deal with this."

The project involved multiple product builds and electronic integrations with both insurers and claims managers.

Meanwhile, Acturis will launch its office insurance product via integrated Imarket tomorrow.

It is the third Acturis package to go live via the electronic portal and will be supported by two Imarket insurers, with a third to follow
