Blair and Brown, Owen and Steel, Trimble and Adams. These are just a few of the famous and infamous recent UK political double acts.

But who is set to be the next double act of note? Perhaps the wise money is on a serious LibDem challenge for the next election and that could mean the insurance industry's own woman at the top.

Yes, the double act on everyone's lips could just be Kennedy and Rossi.

International Underwriting Association chief executive Marie Louise Rossi has won the nomination of the LibDems to be the next parliamentary candidate for the City of London.

Party politics runs through Rossi's veins, but until now it has been blue rather than orange blood. Rossi's father was Sir Hugh Rossi, Tory MP for Hornsey in London until 1992 and sister Marie Therese still works at Conservative Central Office.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
