14 specialist staff will target local brokers

Royal & SunAlliance has opened a new market site in Leeds. The new office, located at Bond Court, will focus on sales and underwriting, and has been created to service R&SA's broker partners in Yorkshire, Humberside and the North East.

Primarily focussed on clients above £25k gross written premium for property, liability and motor classes, the office can also service professional and financial risks markets. The Market Site contains 14 key decision makers selected to strengthen relationships with local brokers.

Mike Lawton, Director, Regional Broker at Royal & SunAlliance, said:
"I'm thrilled that R&SA continues to have a presence in one of the UK's largest financial services centres. The insurance market in Leeds, and the North East generally, is full of momentum and vibrancy, and the new office allows us to tap into that. It's about allowing brokers access to the people that can make decisions, who can underwrite quickly and efficiently and who are on hand to discuss their cases. This is a new way of doing business and I'm confident that we have a proposition which complements how brokers want to deal with us both now and in the future."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
