Scottish Widows former operations head will be "crucial"
Christian Torkington has been hired as RSA’s chief operating officer, filling the position left vacant since the promotion of Adrian Brown to chief executive in September last year.
Torkington comes from Scottish Widows, where he was managing director of operations. Torkington has previously been chief executive of an economic development agency and held consulting and has accountancy roles the UK and Hong Kong.
Brown said: “I've no doubt that Christian’s arrival will really benefit the entire team and that his knowledge and expertise will be crucial as we look to further develop our IT infrastructure.”
