Double appointment to help push European growth
RSA has made two new appointments in its risk solutions trading unit. Gary Long has become director of trading and Greg Harris is now underwriting director.
Long has been manager of UK Property within risk solutions since 2005. His new role will focus on securing large new business opportunities across all lines as well as maintaining relationships with existing risk solutions customers across UK & Europe.
Previously lead property trading underwriter with RSA, Harris will further develop the risk solutions European underwriting strategy and capability. He will also aid RSA's UK underwriters in understanding and managing large European risks.
Paul Greensmith, risk solutions director, said: "These two appointments are a key part of continuing to differentiate our trading capability in the market place whilst pushing our strong track record of growth in Europe. Both roles are absolutely critical at any time but even more crucial in the current trading environment."
Long and Harris will begin their new jobs immediately but will still be involved with their old positions until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
