Insurer boss re-jigs exec team’s responsibilities

Adrian Brown RSA

RSA chief executive, UK and western Europe, Adrian Brown has restructured his top team.

Brown has moved the sales and service teams from operations to report directly into RSA’s personal and commercial businesses, led by personal managing director Mark Christer and commercial managing director Jon Hancock.

Brown said the changes will “create complete ownership for the end-to-end customer journey”.

Brown has also set up a single claims function, which will be led by UK operations director David Pitt.

“Effectively managing claims is vital in maintaining a strong business performance, so bringing all our claims teams together will give us a valuable single view of all our claims activity,” Brown said.

Underwriting and strategic claims director Neil Lightbown will also include Ireland and Italy as part of his remit, in addition to the UK.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
