Insurer restructures around four regions

RSA UK chief executive Adrian Brown

Adrian Brown has been named chief executive of UK & Western Europe at RSA as part of a restructure.

RSA Group will now be organised into four regions: UK & Western Europe, Scandinavia, Canada and emerging markets.

Brown, currently UK CEO, will now take additional responsibility for RSA’s Irish and Italian businesses, as well as its specialty operations in Spain, France,  Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy.

Also under the new structure Scandinavia chief executive Mike Holliday-Williams and Canada chief executive Rowan Saunders will join the group executive team.

The structure of the emerging markets team remains unchanged under Paul Whittaker.

“This new structure reflects the significant contribution our Scandinavian and Canadian businesses make to the group’s results and will drive improved performance across our UK and Western European region,” RSA group chief executive Simon Lee said in a statement. “The changes will also strengthen the business representation on my group executive.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
