CGNU is launching an online automatic salvage auction to cut down the time it takes dealers to get hold of vehicles that have cleared the claims process.

Bluecycle.com will auction stolen and recovered vehicles on categories B,C and D auto salvage.

Dealers post their bid, which is kept anonymous, and then are informed either via email or mobile phone whether they have been successful.

“It will save time and money, improve access and ensure auto salvage professionals no longer play the role of a free storage provider to insurance companies,” said bluecycle.com's chief executive Sean Egan.
