Claims Direct non-executive directors and their wives have snapped up shares in the company while its value is low.

David and Jane Hickey bought 200,000 shares at 11.75p yesterday for a total cost of £23,500.

David Hankinson sold 15,000 shares on Friday and his wife Kathleen bought 30,000 at 11p, paying £3,300.

Finance director Paul Doona and director Roger Plantier also took advantage of their share-buying options.

At their peak, shares in the company were trading at 360p. The directors' share buying comes in the week that Claims Direct issued its third profits warning since its flotation on the London stock market last July.
