Insurance software firm Sherwood International has announced two new contracts as part of its plans to double sales over three years.

The company has signed a five-year deal with outsourcing company Adepta. Under the £700,000 deal, Sherwood will supply software that Adepta can use to manage policies for other firms.

Sherwood has also extended its relationship with Swiss Life. The insurer is using 21 extra Sherwood staff.

In an attempt to build confidence following a profits warning in July, Sherwood pledged to become the second largest provider of insurance software.

It later signed a £5.6m deal with Abbey National.
