SmartWater, the property marking system and theft deterrent, has contributed to massive decreases in burglaries around the UK, according to police.
West Midlands police said that SmartWater had helped reduce domestic burglary by 74% in the "high crime" area of Wolverhampton.
Greater Manchester police announced a 58% reduction of crime in Oldham during the past three months as a result of initiatives that included SmartWater.
SmartWater is invisible to the naked eye when applied to property, but becomes luminous under ultra-violet light. SmartWater has signed distribution agreements with a number of regional brokers including BP Insurance, which is offering the product with household insurance policies.
