Towergate Underwriting Group has acquired professional photography insurance specialist Angela Saunders for an undisclosed sum.
The acqusition will dovetail with Towergate's purchase of Camerasure and Alliance Associates, which have now been merged into Camerasure Alliance. Angela Saunders will be kept as a separate brand.
Group chief executive Peter Callum said that Towergate will continue to focus on specialist niche markets as part of its overall distribution strategy.
This is Towergate's 25th acquisition since it was formed in 1997. Many of the key staff, including Cullum and marketing manager Paul Dyer, originally came from Economic Insurance, which was then bought by Hiscox.
