It has been a grand week for Patrick Snowball, who has been elevated to head Aviva's world general insurance business, but Backchat hears celebrations were dampened by the absence of Snowball's and broker business director Ken Wallace's secretary Catherine Anderson.

It seems that Anderson was ordered into quarantine because of the SARS scare for a week, after returning from a trip with husband Phil of Towry Law. It remains unclear who exactly has been keeping the two bosses on schedule during her absence. ...and part two

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
