I was perplexed by a letter from Paul Jones who alleged he had received an exceptionally low quote from Chubb on an unidentified commercial risk (Letters, 14 July).
Based on the brokers that Mr Jones identified in his letter, we have tried to trace this quote in order to discover what occurred but have been unable to match it to any on our records.
If Mr Jones is prepared to provide us with more information, we would be interested to look into the matter further.
Because we are unable to respond to the specifics of Mr Jones's letter, I can only respond in very general terms.
To be frank, few if any brokers would concur with that view. As a specialty insurer we have long been known for our underwriting integrity; it is that, not price, that drives our risk selection.
