Richard Persson retires from WPS
West Country insurance broker Walker Persson & Spargo (WPS) has announced that its chairman Richard Persson has stepped down.
Persson, who left the broker at the end of June, co-founded the business in 1968.
He is a former president of the Insurance Institute of Plymouth, chairman of the Western region of Biba and was a director of the main Biba board.
Plymouth-based WPS currently employs 40 staff.
The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
