Co-founder Rasche to continue as senior non-exec

SSP co-founder David Rasche has stepped down from the chairmanship of the company.

The company, which provides software for brokers, has announced that Rasche is moving from non-executive chairman to become the business’ senior non-executive director.

Rasche, who has been with the company and its predecessors for 21 years, will cut his time at the software house to approximately a day a week from September.

As well as continuing on the board, Rasche will still be involved with industry forums and facilitating introductions for the business.

Brad Henske, managing director of SSP’s majority shareholder Hellman and Friedman, will take over as chairman.

Rasche said: “It’s the right time in my life to reduce my business commitments and spend half of my time on personal and family interests.

“SSP has a very capable chief executive in Laurence Walker, who co-founded the business with me and he is building around him a strong team to take SSP to the next stage of its development. I look forward to continuing to contribute in a more advisory capacity, whilst still being involved in the industry. SSP will continue to be the business closest to my heart, because I have so many friends in the company, as well as amongst our clients and the industry generally.”
