Software Solutions Partners (SSP) said it expects to triple the size of its household EDI panel by the end of 2005, as it came top of an EDI volumes software house survey.

SSP is transacting the highest volume of EDI trading in the software house market, according to a report from InStep.

InStep, which monitors the use of EDI systems in the motor and household sectors, said the highest volume of motor EDI cases were written via SSP systems.

InStep, part of the Electronic Trading Practices Group, carries out a survey of EDI use every six months. The latest figures cover the period from 1 July 2004.

SSP executive business manager, insurer partnerships, Mark Woronowski, said: “I am particularly encouraged by the household statistics as, in the period surveyed, we had just launched the software and had only four insurers on our panel.

“We expect to have 12 or 13 insurers on our panel by the end of 2005 and I anticipate that volumes will increase correspondingly.”

SSP provides electronic trading for five lines of business comprising private car, household, motorcycle, commercial vehicle and taxi, as part of its electRa and electRa M3 systems, it said.
